Founded in 1992, Dura-Lite is a privately owned, award-winning Heavy-Duty Truck Radiator company. Dura-Lite truck radiators are built with high-quality materials specially designed for the heavy-duty truck, transit bus, motorcoach, motorhome, industrial, agricultural, and construction markets. Dura-Lite’s focus is on improving cooling performance and providing longer durability than standard OEM radiators.

In the development process, the OEM radiator is reverse-engineered to improve reliability, durability, longevity, and efficiency.

Reliability is improved by using reinforced headers and an extra stiffening plate, which prevents leaks from happening between the tank and the header, and the tubes and the header. Dura-Lite headers also include extra deep crimp tabs, reinforced tank crimp area on the tanks, and extra stainless-steel outer crimp strips (when required).

Durability and longevity are achieved by reinforcing areas that are prone to become weak overtime due to the extensive thermal fatigue caused by expansion and contraction. To prevent thermal stress cracking, stronger fiber reinforced tanks are used, and the hose connections are internally reinforced with metal. Reinforced heavy gauge tubes are also used in the construction of the radiator core. Furthermore, the radiator tanks are made thicker, stronger and more flexible.

Efficiency is achieved by using a high efficiency core design that maximizes the thermal heat dissipation throughout the radiator core.
